Mayor Bill Finch recently joined small business owner John DeRosa for a tour of CT Deck Pros, a Bridgeport-based small business that recently expanded its operation.
CT Deck Pros designs and builds outdoor living spaces, including decks, hardscapes and pergolas. The small business recently added a showroom to its downtown-based offices and have grown the business from 3 to 15 employees.
“In Bridgeport, we’re creating an environment for small businesses to grow and thrive,” said Mayor Finch. “Job creators see the progress and are choosing to open and expand their businesses here making Bridgeport better every day. CT Deck Pros is another example of a Bridgeport-based small business that has grown and added new jobs.”
CT Deck Pros recently added a showroom to its offices in downtown Bridgeport and expanded its employee base.
“We’ve had a wonderful stay here in Bridgeport over the past few years,” said DeRosa.”We’ve just been having tremendous success with the new showroom, bringing our customers here to downtown Bridgeport, from all over Fairfield and New Haven counties. We have grown from a handful of folks last year — two to three — and now we have 15 people on our team working full time.”
According to DeRosa, his business has already hit their revenue numbers from last year and is projecting that they will be able to double that number at the end of the year.
